The Bonnie Academy Cultural Week was a great success! Children and staff from all over the world came together to learn about each other’s cultures.
Cultural Week at Bonnie Academy was a great success! The students enjoyed learning about the different cultures and customs represented at the school. The week-long event was a great way to celebrate diversity and promote cultural awareness.
We started off with a little parade through the school, where everyone showed off their family boards and brief family history. Each country shared a little about their culture, from their food to their traditional music.
Throughout the week, there were workshops and activities celebrating different cultures. Everyone had a fantastic time learning about new cultures and making new friends. Thank you to everyone who helped make our Cultural Week so special!
As the school year comes to a close, many students are reflecting on all they have learned. One of the great things about attending a diverse school is the exposure to cultural traditions and foods.
One student, Areni, reflected on her favorite cultural experience. “I really enjoyed celebrating Easter with my friends and classmates. It was a lot of fun to learn about the traditions and food associated with the holiday.”
Classmate Sarkis also enjoyed learning about different cultures. “I liked learning about all the different food traditions around the world. It was really interesting to see how people in other parts of the world celebrate with food.”
In addition to learning about different cultures, students have also been exposed to a variety of art and music. Mariam shared, “I loved singing with my music class. The music was so beautiful and the setting was really beautiful.”
It has been a great year for learning about different cultures and traditions. Here’s to hoping that next year is just as enlightening!
