It was just another day in January when the Glendale Fire Department @glendalefirefighters received a call about a house fire. But this fire was different. This fire was in danger of trapping a mother, father, and their children inside.
Luckily, the father, Greg Dermenjyan, was alerted to wake up. He quickly got everyone out of the house. And thanks to his bravery, none of them were hurt.
Today, the Glendale Fire Department honored that husband/father, Greg Dermenjyan, with a special award.
“Greg’s quick thinking and bravery saved his wife and children from a potentially life-threatening situation,” said Glendale Fire Chief Tim Ernst. “We’re proud to recognize him as a hero and thank him for his service.”
Greg Dermenjyan was humbled by the award.
“I’m just glad that I was able to help my family in their time of need,” he said. “I’m grateful to the Glendale Fire Department for their service and for recognizing the heroes of our community.”
