Today, Bonnie Academy joined the Great California ShakeOut, a fun and important earthquake preparedness drill! Our students and staff reviewed safety procedures and practiced emergency responses together. (Click on the link)

When the drill started, everyone quickly followed their teacher’s instructions by practicing the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” technique. Students got on the ground, took cover under sturdy tables, and protected their heads until the shaking stopped. Teachers kept a close watch, reminding everyone to stay calm and safe. After the classroom drill, students moved together in line to the designated assembly area, showing how important it is to evacuate carefully.
Staff ensured every student was accounted for, showcasing the teamwork needed after the shaking ends. We’re proud of our students for taking the drill seriously and learning earthquake safety. Preparedness takes teamwork, and families can help by discussing emergency plans and keeping supplies ready. Thanks to everyone for making ShakeOut a success!
